Filey Southdene is a thriving club situated in the lovely seaside resort of Filey, established in the late 1800's. Our present bowling club has been in existence at our current Southdene site since the mid 1930s. We provide coaching for new members at the start of the season and welcome all ages and abilities.
Teams visit from all over the country and we play friendly matches against local teams. We have teams in all the leagues in our area, as well as competing at county level.
During the close season whilst the green is closed, members continue to meet in the pavilion on the 2nd Saturday of each month for a coffee morning and raffle, commencing at 10am. At approximately 11am the draw for the 50 Club (Club fundraiser) is made. We encourage members to come along for these informal meet ups and support the Club if possible by joining the 50 Club. These events are usually well supported by our members and help us to stay in touch during the winter months.
All visitors are very welcome and will usually find someone at the green any afternoon during the season or contact the Secretary 07895 580189
